The 48-week Management course covers a wide variety of topics, starting with a study of the cultural and historical context of spas. The health and safety module covers standards and regulations applicable to sports and recreation industries and then the water and therapy management module looks at the physiological effects and benefits of water-based treatments, health and safety and water treatment procedure. During the rest of the course, students will learn management skills and understand the consumer experience with particular emphasis on how to respond to, and manage, a diverse client base while promoting a positive spa culture and ethos. Finance, people, product and treatment management are the skills taught in the remaining study modules.
